We hate Pet Dander!

In my last post I asked "What was Tanner looking at?''

Here it is....Of Course puppies! He loves dogs but, we cant have one.Y? Because he's highly allergic to pet dander!

When Tanner was about 4 months old he was hospitalized for a rash from head to toe that they thought was from his milk. After changing his milk multiply times and days in the hospital it went away and we got to go home.


While staying at the hospital, Jeffrey's mom and step-dad kept our miniature Yorkie named Caper. Jeffrey and I then decided to let them have Caper since he would receive more attention with them and we still would get to see him. We were still in the process of house training him so, it took a lot of time and effort. After moving back from Baton Rouge, We decided to get Tanner an outside dog to play with. I found this family that were giving away labs. Jeffrey thought this was great and wanted to name him Drake. Tanner loved him! After about 2 weeks of having Drake, Tanner broke out into another rash. His Doctor then decided that it was time to see an allergy doctor. When the results came back that Tanner was highly allergic to pet dander we were shocked because that meant we had to get rid of Drake.It's sad that Tanner cant have a puppy because he loves them to death and freaks out when he sees them. Maybe he'll eventually grow out of it but some kids don't.

Potty training

As we continue to potty train, Tanner is doing fantastic! He went all day today with NO accidents. I still cant get him to poop on the potty. Please give me any advice you may have because I don't know how to do it. He still runs and hides. I really am proud of him though.

Whats Tanner looking at? Any idea?

This past weekend Tanner was playing outside with my sister and got his first splinter in his foot. It was really sad because we had to hold him down to get it out. Jeffrey made sure I grabbed my camera to take a picture.
When I started this blog, I wasn't sure how to do it or if I would even like it. I can say now that I love it but I'm still learning. I've really learned a lot reading others blogs and have enjoyed it. Every time I get a New follower I get excited and my husband laughs at me.

Happy Birthday Jeffrey!

Another year older and on the verge of going bald(not really) your still cute as can be. I hope you had a Great Birthday this year to make up for last. I know I had fun spending the day with you like always. I am very blessed to have a man like you that will sit at the Doctors office with me for 3 hours on your Birthday! Lunch was awesome! Its hard to believe that you were only 20 years old when we started dating and now 25, wow! I guess it's true when people say "time fly's by when your having fun." Thank you for everything and I love you so much!

Not Me Monday!

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

My Turn! Let me start out by saying this is my First "Not Me Monday" post so I'm really excited or should I have said NOT my first post? It's NOT me to wake up and feed my child donuts for breakfast. When I specifically told my husband that we were going to start eating healthy. Then I did NOT start cleaning EVERY room in my house at 8 am to then find out that the company I was having over decided to wait until 7pm to come over.

I most certainly did NOT give my child the the left over chocolate icing after I baked a cake last week for dessert. See Not Me! I also will NOT spend all day tomorrow in Shreveport with my Husband! Not Me!

Jeffreys Birthday Dinner

Last night I was feeling a lot better so we went to eat at Jeffrey' s favorite Mexican restaurant for his Birthday dinner. His birthday is Tuesday but we'll be in Shreveport for my doctor appointment. My parents & sisters met us there. We had a blast and Tanner was really good!Jeffrey wore a sombrero while they sang Happy Birthday to him.

Tanner was flirting with my sisters friend Cameron the whole time and it was hilarious. Aunt "KK" & TannerMy Mom & DadAunt MaHaley After singing "Happy Birthday" they made him this!(fried tortilla with whip cream and cherries). I really think Jeffrey should be Mexican because he LOVES Mexican food!

Whats up with me?

I haven't posted in a few days because Ive been really sick. Thursday night we went to the ball park to watch Michael( a boy I watch in the evenings) play baseball and I started hurting while we were there.

I took some medicine when I got home but didn't help at all. I woke up at 2 am crying because my right side was hurting so bad that I had to go to the Emergency room. They ran test on me all morning and I wasn't discharged until 6am. They said I had a very bad UTI which doesn't surprise me. I have been going to the urology clinic for about a year now because I have tons of kidney problems. Two months ago I was diagnosed with cystinuria and I'm sick almost every month.

Cystinuria is an autosomal recessive disorder, so you must inherit the faulty gene from both parents in order to have symptoms.

Cystinuria is caused by too much of an amino acid called cystine in the urine. After entering the kidneys, most cystine normally dissolves and goes back into the bloodstream. But people with cystinuria have a genetic defect that interferes with this process. As a result, cystine builds up in the urine and forms crystals or stones, which may get stuck in the kidneys, ureters, or bladder.

In December, I had Surgery to remove a huge mass of stones in my left kidney. Before that they went in and put a stint in because i wasn't even using my left kidney because the stones were blocking it. I go next month for them to remove some more stones. Its not curable! I just hate that it make me really sick.

Short and Sweet

First of all let me start out by saying Tanner is still doing a Great job on potty training! This week has been a really lazy week. Tanner had his two week check-up at the ENT yesterday and the doc said he looked Great. I just pray we don't have any more problems with his ears ever. I have realized here lately that he's not at all a baby anymore. Everyday he amazes me with how much he really knows and understands. Next week is Jeffrey's birthday and I'm still trying to decide what to do. He's off work that day because he's going to Shreveport with me. I have a pre-operation exam at the urology clinic. Any ideas? I really don't want to spend a lot of money because its his money in the first place. Were going out to eat of course but he expects that.

The Smell

Okay I think its been long enough. The smell I was smelling on Jeffrey is nothing you could of guessed. He was cleaning the floor at a house where a lady had been dead for over 30 days. Crazy, I know! I mean how did her family not know. Her son lived in TX and found out 2 days before Jeffrey was to clean the floor. Her body fluids had drained out and leaked through the wood. The smell he said was nothing you could ever envision. He had to suit up to go inside the house. Rats and maggots had been eating at her body. Of course her body was gone but the fluids were still there. I cant imagine how Jeffrey could stomach this because I would need to visit a psychiatrist after wards.

Where is Tanner?

Where is Tanner? After nap time I decided to take tanner to the park. He loves it mainly because their are other kids there. Half the time he'll just stand there and watch. He plays really good with other children. I just cant stand when parents "tell" their children how to play instead of letting them be kids. One mom kept telling her child to, "climb up this way," Slide down this slide," & "Don't do that." I really wanted to say shes okay just let her play.

After the park we stopped by blockbuster to pick up a movie. I knew daddy would be home late so Tanner and I had movie night. Aunt "k-k" came over and watched the movie with us.

The past two days I have spent focusing on potty training! Jeffrey has been working late so its been Tanner and I all by ourselves. Yesterday he did good. I just wish he would tell me he had to go instead of me asking him millions of times. He had two poo-poo accidents and that was it.Today he used the potty 5 times and only had a poo-poo accident when we were at the park. I am so proud of him.Jeffrey hasn't came home smelling bad the past two days because he's done with that job but I'll let you know what it was a little later..............

Whats that Smell?

This week has been some what of a laid back week.Monday tanner slept to 10 o'clock am. I knew something was wrong and he didn't feel good. He couldn't stop coughing. We had to go pay daddy's speeding ticket that he had gotten back in January. After that we came back home to clean up from the Easter bunny visiting us. When Tanner woke up from nap time I knew he needed to go to the doctor so i took him to the after hours clinic and Jeffrey met us up there! When he walked in you could smell an odor that wasn't pleasant. Ill tell you about that a little later. Tanner man ended up having a cough and runny nose because of the pollen but makes him feel 10x worse because hes still healing from his surgery. Poor baby has not been himself! Needless to say potty training was put on the back burner again.



Yesterday, was a very lazy day! Tanner wanted to lay around and watch Alvin and the chipmunks(his favorite) so that's what we did. New movies came out and I couldn't get motivated to go to blockbuster to get them. Tanner used the potty 3 times today!




Today was much better. Tanner still felt bad and I needed to go grocery shopping. My mom insisted she would watch him at our house so, he wouldn't have to get out while I went shopping. I have to say I think we were out of everything! I had to buy Ketchup, mayo, and mustard. Crazy I know. I kinda felt like Jeffrey's Aunt Sunday when she thought she had ketchup and she didn't and they had cooked fish & fries. Tonight for dinner I cooked chicken tortilla soup and it was good. I found the recipe on the internet.




Jeffrey came home again today smelling like he has for the past 3 days now! Wanna know what the smell is? Do you have any idea? Jeffrey's been cleaning the floor at this certain house all week. Why would he come home smelling so bad that before I hug him he has to take a shower? Tanner used the potty twice today! Slowly but surely were making progress.

Happy Easter 2010

This morning we ended up waking Tanner up because it was already 8:30 and we needed to get ready for church. Tanner didn't know what was going on but wanted everything opened!He was very excited that he was getting to have candy because we don't let him have it all the time. Really only if he uses the potty. Church was really good. Thank you Jesus for dieing for our sins so that we can spend eternity with him.

After Church we stopped by the house to change then off to Suzie & Steve's we went.They cooked fish, fries, and hush puppies to eat. I don't like fish so Steve cooked me gumbo.Thank you so much! All Tanner wanted to do was stay outside and it was hot. Jeff and I hid the eggs then Mimi and tanner found them. At first he wanted to leave and wasn't interested in "picking eggs off the ground" until Mimi started showing him that there was candy in the eggs. He would shake it to see if candy was in it and if not then he wouldn't pick it up. He had fun because his poor little face was red. On the was home we picked up ice cream and spent the rest of the day relaxing. Tanner just went to bed about 8:30 and passed out. He never took a nap today.

Hope every body had a great Easter. Oh and potty training starts back tomorrow we eased up because of his surgery this past week.

Easter Bunny & his Eggs!

Today was a fun filled day!First we went to the park for the Big Easter egg hunt. Tanner was scared to get down because of the Easter bunny and Maggie moos cow that was dressed up.He wouldn't even get close enough to take a picture with me holding him.When it started I still had to hold him while finding eggs. Tanner ended up finding a prize egg and got two free movie tickets to the movies. I saw friends that I went to school with there with their children. Its crazy how everyone is getting married and having babies. It feels like yesterday we were in high school.

After the Egg hunt we had to go to walmart to get eggs and dye because I totally forgot. After nap I boiled eggs then we ran up town to do a few things. When we got back it was time to dye the eggs. Jeffrey pretty much said I was really brave for dying eggs with a 2 yr old. He did really good though. Only cracked one eggs but we had a blast.

Easter Pictures

Yesterday was a really busy day for us!We headed to the park that morning to take some pictures for Easter. I know kinda last minute but I'm such a procrastinator. Tanner just doesn't like to sit and take pictures so I "snapped" him in action. I really think they turned out good. He didn't feel all that great because he was running a low grade temp. The doc send it was normal after his surgery for about a week.Here's a few of them!

After taking pictures we went with my mom to eat lunch. My dad and sis met us there. Last night after Jeffrey got off work we went out to eat with my parents. We ended up going to the movies with my little sisters so my mom took Tanner with her. The "Last Song" was a really good movie! I cried like a baby.
